When my clients wanted to downsize but worried about the small footprint of their open floor plan, I was more than happy to help.
The couple’s fun personality greets visitors with a punchy wallpaper inspired by their existing bench. A beveled mirror series and driftwood colored console sit opposite reflecting the rich foyer hues.
We maxed out the living space with a large U-shape sectional for the grandkids to pile on and added a swivel chair and ottomans for overflow seating (in case their parents want to sit down). The client was able to have her dream beachy-white sofa by using a textured performance fabric. No need to worry about sandy feet from the beach or spills from the margaritas passed from the kitchen.
The dining area features an extendable dining table for ten flanked by two host chairs and side chairs with custom detailing of the same pattern. The barstools feature the same fabric in a contrast wrap and offer a perfect spot to enjoy the view and still have conversations on either side of the room.
At the end of the day, the couple can escape to the quiet calm of their master bedroom. The concurrent warm-tone neutral color scheme and coastal textures create a soothing atmosphere to drift off to.
